    You're as bad as @Penwize. :s

seems to be missing this line?
You observe that the wounds of Dochitha are bleeding most severely.
    This was at 587 bleed
  • Well, now I don't know.

Did that replace one of the lines I posted?

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • I haven't seen our old ones, like "gouts" and "torrents." Haven't been able to sit down and properly test yet.
  • There were some issues when we were initially testing. Bleeding above 700 was showing both new and old lines. Possibly bleeding between 500 and 600 was showing just the old line?
  • An extra line was added after the initial batch so we'd have one for every 100. Went in at the 600 cap.
  • Why do you have to pay for 2 weapons for DWC knight?

  • edited April 2018
so as a dwc knight build I should pay for 2 weapons even though a 2h build is just as viabvle and only pays for 1?

    Keep it civil.
  • The point is that 2H and DWC might as well be different classes, and as different classes they have their pros and cons.

Compare any knight class to, for example, shaman, which can shine very well even without artifacts. This is offset by the fact that shamans are weirdos.

  • You've been told repeatedly that the admins have no plans to make changes to the pricing of artefact weapons. There isn't, and there never has been, parity between classes when it comes to the number and cost of offensive artefacts, specialisations for Knight are just an extension of that.

It is still something worth bringing up often anyway, since it is rather steep compared to lower ends.
  • My biggest problem with knight weapons is honestly that mismatched pairs are awful because of the varying limb damage per strike and the need to keep track of individual weapon hits per limb. If they could reconcile that I'd be a lot more okay with the pricing.

good explanation there bud, are you just a condescending bitch to everyone you talk to?

First comment: That's not true. If you're wanting to compare the artefact purchases across the knight classes, then you have to do it properly. 2h can buy warhammer and sword, which is two different weapons and price points, and both of them benefit the class greatly. Does it need both? No. Neither does DwC, though. You can get by with 2 level 2 weapons, which is the same cost of a single level 3 weapon for another class. SnB wants a longsword and an SoA (which equates to a l2 weapon at 800cr). DwB is even worse than DwC, since you have options for flail/stars which both have their uses. My investment for SnB weapons is SoA, l2 longsword (800+800 = 1600cr). You can get l2 scimitars for 1600cr total, as well.

That said, I do agree there could be some audits to cost on a class-by-class basis, but that's expecting a lot of work for relatively little gain from the administration side.

The parity is pretty fair, overall, when you actually take the time to look at them each individually. If you just assume 2h uses 1 weapon 100% of the time, then you're wrong and basing your opinion off wrong information. Viable and optimal are not the same thing.

Second comment: Yes, yes he is.

  • 6400 for DWC and DWB. Just don't see the issue, with multiclass and all that tasty goodness that we can't have dual wield weapons dropped to a pair at the price, a pair of level 1s 2s and 3s. With considerations to slightly adjust the specs of course.

Currently there are a lot of promos etc that can land you free credits, and it can be easy to bulk up, I am not denying that, but it'd still be nice to see DWC weapons (and I think sents have an issue too?) even set to pairs at 2/3rds the price.
  • I mean, I think dwb/dwc weapon prices are in a similar situation to buckawns/web. Everyone thinks it's a good idea, the admin just keep saying no.
  • I will say that I'd personally spend more on knight specs/insignia if I didn't have to buy two weapons for DWB :(

    Is hurty on the wallet
  • Can we all just take a moment to appreciate some of the gems that came up in this classlead round?

I'm proposing the 100% tentacles proc' rate classlead for the 'lol of the quarter' award.

    Classlead 84 best classlead.

Cadmus giving hamstring is pretty good, too.

Giving Bards hamstring is up there.

  • giving bards evade was p. good too
  • I feel like Mak missed an opportunity with some of the far out classleads. If he just 'accidentally' approved like the web is an interesting mechanic classlead, he could've sat back overnight and watched the collective meltdown on the forums before going 'oops, that wasn't intended'.

  • I feel like the lolz were pretty evenly distributed this round.

I liked the one about bringing back old puppet mangle, then shortening the time on jitb depending on limb damage.

Maybe be I should have asked for obliterate back

    (Party): Mezghar says, "Stop."
  • My favourite was Blademaster having absolve, not sure what number that was.
  • This is the type of shit that brings back the old classlead style of only certain people being able to submit.
  • I'm not very combat savvy, and only just recently picked up BM, but I feel like absolve is just a different finisher on the same kill path....

There's gotta be a better way to make BM relevant, right?

It is, but that was their intention: you either clot to avoid brokenstar and get absolved, or you don't clot to avoid absolve and get killed by brokenstar. That's not how combat is actually balanced, though.
  • I agree, it didn't make sense to just add on like that. I'd rather see the rest of the BM skillset get some use, rather than just more reasons to impale. I know they really aren't an affliction class, and I wouldn't know how to suggest balanced changes, so I'll just quietly hope somebody figures it out haha
