    YAY! Theatre masks came in!

    a monstrous, carved theatre mask
Made to fully cover the wearer's face and meticulously carved from bleached driftwood, this mask is fashioned in the shape of a grotesque being. Two horns protrude from the upper portion of this mask. Just below, a furrowed brow has been carved over two deep-set eye holes, allowing the wearer to see through the mask. Below the mask's prominent, hooked nose, a twisted mouth has been carved, two sharp fangs hanging from the top lip. A forked tongue has been carved as if it were trailing down the mask, covering a portion of the lower lip. Lacking any sort of ribbon or string, this mask relies on the contours of the wearer's face to remain in place.
a carved theatre mask of great sorrow
Made to fully cover the wearer's face and meticulously carved from bleached driftwood, this mask is made to depict sorrow while obscuring the true emotions of the wearer. A heavy brow has been carved over two deep-set eye holes, allowing the wearer to see through the mask. Below the mask's nondescript nose, a gaping mouth is curved downward in an expression of great sorrow. Lacking any sort of ribbon or string, this mask relies on the contours of the wearer's face to remain in place.
a carved theatre mask of extreme joy
Made to fully cover the wearer's face and meticulously carved from bleached driftwood, this mask is made to depict joy while obscuring the true emotions of the wearer. A raised brow has been carved over two wide eye holes, allowing the wearer to see through the mask. Below the mask's nondescript nose, a gaping mouth is curved upward in an expression of great joy, ending at two prominent dimples set under rounded cheeks. Lacking any sort of ribbon or string, this mask relies on the contours of the wearer's face to remain in place.
    a carved theatre mask

Made to fully cover the wearer's face and meticulously carved from bleached driftwood, this mask is made to obscure the true emotions of the wearer. A flat brow has been carved over two wide eye holes, allowing the wearer to see through the mask. Below the mask's nondescript nose, a flat, closed mouth has been carved, without any indication of emotion or sentiment. Lacking any sort of ribbon or string, this mask relies on the contours of the wearer's face to remain in place.
a carved theatre mask of dramatic anger
Made to fully cover the wearer's face and meticulously carved from bleached driftwood, this mask is made to depict extreme anger while obscuring the true emotions of the wearer. A furrowed brow has been carved over two deep-set eye holes, allowing the wearer to see through the mask. Below the mask's nondescript nose, a hollow mouth has been carved mid-scream, portraying a feeling of outrage. Lacking any sort of ribbon or string, this mask relies on the contours of the wearer's face to remain in place.
    a featureless theatre mask
Made to fully cover the wearer's face and meticulously carved from bleached driftwood, the exterior of this mask has been carved to obscure all features of the wearer. The exterior of this mask is ovular in shape, with two small eye holes approximately one-third of the way down the mask. The interior of the mask has been shaped to fit the wearer's face, while a faded swirling pattern in the bleached wood is the only distinguishing feature on the mask's exterior. Lacking any sort of ribbon or string, this mask relies on the contours of the wearer's face to remain in place.

EDIT: Yes they're similar, they're supposed to be. PS I hate spoilers.
    Huh. Neat.

    a gift design

    APPEARANCE
    Darkheart, sword of the Captain

    DROPPED
Hovering slightly, Darkheart casts an unnatural shadow on its surroundings.

    EXAMINED
Forged from blackened steel and enhanced with the remnant essence of the Vertani meteors, the blade of Darkheart is razor-sharp and balanced to perfection. The fuller has been carefully engraved with shimmering runes, the phrase "Draw me not without reason, sheathe me not without honor” formed by the expertly etched characters. Transitioning into the reinforced obsidian cross-guard is a layer of gilded engravings to funnel the blood of the wielder’s victims away from his hands. The grip has been coated  with the prepared skin of a black stag from the Darkenwood for comfort, smoothly flowing into the round obsidian pommel where a marquise ruby, etched with a black pupil, completes the weapon.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!"
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

    *gigglegiggle*

  • a massive verdant blade with flowing runes

Roughly five and a half feet from pommel to pointed tip, this massive double-edged two-hander is
elegant yet forged for brutal combat. Blessed with earthly grace, tendril-like clouds of a verdant
hue slither inside the surface of the silver blade, betraying the infusion of august metal with the
essence of Nature. The blade's broad-fuller cross-section is thick while the edges are keen and
suited for rending, even through the thickest armour. Ancient runes of augmentation are engraved in
flowing script along its fuller and glow with a cerulean hue, terminating at an oaken rainguard cut
into the shape of a lemniscate. Supple aniline leather provides a comfortable hold under the
wielder's grip and is dyed white with swirling sable accents. A small, polished malachite stone
    adorns the pommel.

Not exactly today but I customized my artie bastard sword. Kinda sad I'll probs never use it, 2h too slow and boring for me.

Took a break from working on designs for the crafter's fair to make this new outfit for Aereidhna last night...I tend to rely on stock items/storebought things for most of her clothes, I need to get in the habit of designing more stuff she'd actually wear on a daily basis (as opposed to, uh, ballgowns which is all I seem to want to do lately :P)

appearance: a wine-red slip dress belted with a copper chain

dropped: A wine-red slip dress lies here in a pile of silky fabric.
examined: Raw silk dyed the warm, deep colour of red wine falls from shoulder to mid-thigh in a swish of delicate fabric. Tiny straps extend from the sweetheart neckline, connecting to the low-cut back of the dress. The fabric dips to the small of the back, baring the shoulders, neck, and upper chest. A slit at the hem exposes more of the left thigh. Crimson chantilly lace edges the neckline and hemline, adding feminine flair to this otherwise daring but simply designed dress. The silhouette of the dress draws in slightly at the tailored waistline to accentuate feminine curves. A thin, copper chain belt further defines the waistline. One end of the lariat-style belt is tipped with an amber gem, weighting the chain as it slips through the small copper hoop at the other end. The long end falls to brush against the thigh, while the hoop rests at the hip, cinching the belt.

appearance: a lariat necklace of copper and amber
dropped: A lariat necklace of copper and amber lies here, abandoned.
examined: A thin, delicate copper chain drapes around the wearer's neck to form this simple lariat necklace. A small copper hoop at one end of the chain rests at the hollow of the throat. The long end of the chain slips through the hoop and falls from the throat to rest against the chest, weighted with an amber gem.

appearance: velvet wine-red stiletto shoes with copper chains
dropped: Velvet wine-red stiletto shoes with copper chains rest side-by-side here.

examined: Sumptuous wine-red velvet stretched over supple black leather forms these stiletto shoes. The closed toe is crafted in a thick, chunky pump style, while the five-inch heel terminates in a sharp point. The shoes are otherwise unadorned but for a small, delicate copper chain extending from the heel to wind around the ankle, resting lightly against the wearer's skin.

And finally started in on house descriptions, here's the front garden...

A stone path winding through the front garden.
Climbing vines enshroud the wrought iron fence and gate of this subdivision plot, creating a sense of natural privacy. The gate opens onto a path of wide, circular stones winding its way through the front garden to the front door of a two-story stone cottage. Shades of grey tinted dove, blue, and slate make up the rich, variegated hues of the cottage's outer walls. Roses climb over the walls of the cottage and surround the driftwood front door, the bright green vines and blossoms of pink, yellow, and white contrasting starkly with the grey. Crocuses line the path, mostly lavender but seeded with varieties of sunny yellow, deep sapphire, and dark purple, their hardy flowers remaining strong even through the worst mountain weather. A jacaranda tree, transplanted far from its tropical home, blooms in the corner of the garden, its wide, dense branches covered in lavender blossoms that fall to nestle in the emerald grass. Thick white hawser rope, slung over a high branch and knotted, secures a wooden swing to the tree. A gentle breeze stirs the garden, carrying a heady, floral fragrance. The faint sound of waves gently lapping at the beach of Lake Muurn is barely audible, the only reminder of the world outside.

  • So much happiness.

     a whimsical butterfly-winged bow

The whimsical confection of burnished wood and artistry, this flashy short bow is crafted
from a supple piece of burnished tigerwood; the chatoyant veneer of the plank more like
subtly striped gold than timber. The bow's curved limbs bear the influence of a capricious
artist in their swooping manifestation, with the upper limb unfurling high above into a
butterfly's forewing and the lower limb's hindwing extending as a small fan. Replicating
the delicate membrane of the lepidopteras' wings, the wood is hollowed to near paper-thin
density, and dyed with a rainbow-esque palette of shades. Indigo and magenta vie for
attention alongside carnation pink and lilac, the pigments fading toward the bow's middle
and lightening to a delicate mixture of translucent shades, allowing light to shimmer
through the diaphanous wood as though stained glass. Experctly carved to fit a small
handspan, the grip is fortified with a protective and decorative layer of varicoloured
silk, which is mirrored in the bowstring. The glossy, vibrant silk connects each gilded
tip of the bow, the fibre's tensile strength needed for quick, high-speed shooting, and
reaching the trifecta of light weight, strength, and resistance that allows for a shot to
    reach maximum velocity.
    It weighs about 11 pounds.
It bears the distinctive mark of Lala.

I've had these for a while now, and full credit should go to @Lala for the design. I just said "dragony wings made of Gare mist" or something (I'm fairly terrible when it comes to descriptions). Anyway, my wings:

These wraith-like wings are birthed from the Parthren Gare, the magic of the dragon plane imbuing the silvery mist which  wreathes them. Trapped and shaped by elemental magic, the ethereal fog makes up the entirety of this relic of power. Their translucent appearance reveals the shape of draconic pinions, yet retains an indistinct quality not unlike the vacillating form of an air elemental. Sparks of lightning-like energy crackle sporadically across the wings, forking outward past the edges and outlining their majestic shape before fading into memory. Often folded tightly to the body of the wearer, they occasionally shift in response to an unseen force or mental impulse, spreading out to their full span only on command.
    It weighs about 6 pounds.
It bears the distinctive mark of Sarathai.
    It will reset to you.

    - (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place."
    - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely."
    - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")."
    - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish."
    - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

  • Hope that double spacing on the first line is just a result of you copy/pasting it, and isn't actually there :(

  • Now that it's no longer hush hush...fashion show outfit!

appearance: a saffron silk ribbon winding through the hair
dropped: A saffron silk hair ribbon lies here, abandoned.
examined: A length of raw Colchian silk dyed a warm saffron hue winds elegantly through a formal updo. A small copper clasp inset with an amber butterfly secures the hairstyle in place and adorns the piece, nestled delicately among the wearer's tresses.

appearance: a saffron silk sari ornately worked with amber
dropped: A saffron silk sari ornately worked with amber is folded neatly here.
examined: This formal sari is made of an expansive length of raw, whisper-thin Colchian silk dyed a warm saffron hue. Wrapping several times around the waist to form the skirt, the layers of silk are rendered opaque, their elegant drape accentuating feminine curves. One end of the fabric tucks in at the centre of the waist to secure the piece to the wearer's body. The other end winds around the torso and over one shoulder, leaving much of the waist and arms bare. A band of copper brocade ornately worked with cut amber gemstones decorates the hem of the skirt and the edge of the free, draped end. The gems vary in size and range in hue from pale honey to dark cherry, creating the image of a kaleidoscope of butterflies fluttering along the border of the sari.

appearance: a copper brocade sari blouse
dropped: A copper brocade sari blouse lies here, abandoned.
examined: This feminine blouse is crafted from exquisite, finely woven satin brocade and dyed copper. The woven butterfly designs in the brocade are nearly invisible except when they shimmer in the light. A square neckline and short, capped sleeves bare the arms and upper chest, dipping low in the back to expose the shoulderblades. Meant to be worn under a sari for additional modesty, this blouse terminates just under the bust, where tiny amber butterflies edge the hemline.

appearance: heeled copper satin peep-toe shoes
dropped: Heeled copper satin peep-toe shoes rest side by side.
examined: These high-heeled shoes are made of wood and leather overlaid with shimmering copper satin. The stiletto heels terminate in a sharp point. The uppers cover most of the toes and heel, but a small, daring cutout exposes the tips of the toes, adding sensual flare. Ribbons of delicate saffron silk wind around the leg from ankle to knee, tied in a small bow.

appearance: an ornate chandelier earring of amber butterflies
dropped: An ornate chandelier earring of amber butterflies lies here, abandoned.
examined: A thin, durable copper wire supports the structure of this ornate, chandelier-style earring. Dangling from the copper at staggered lengths are strings of tiny butterflies, their delicate shapes cut from amber. The glittering amber gemstones range from pale honey to deep cherry in hue, giving the appearance of a flock of multicoloured butterflies hovering at the ear and neck.

appearance: a beaded copper wire butterfly armband
dropped: A beaded copper wire butterfly armband lies here, abandoned.
examined: Burnished copper wire forms the base of this intricate armband. It winds snugly around the wearer's arm, twisted into a kaleidoscope of butterflies of varying sizes. The painstaking bending of the wire outlines the detailed shape of many tiny wings nestled against the skin. Beads of amber in varying hues from pale honey to dark cherry decorate the swarm of butterflies, glittering vibrantly when light filters through the gems.

appearance: a saffron silk choker with an amber butterfly
dropped: A saffron silk choker with an amber butterfly lies here, abandoned.
examined: A thin ribbon of delicate saffron silk winds around the neck. The ends of the ribbon are sewn into a burnished copper clasp. The wide metal clasp forms the setting for an amber jewel carved into the shape of a butterfly. Situated at the centre of the choker, it rests comfortably against the wearer's throat. Twisting shapes add texture to the caliginous depths of the bright gemstone, which is the shade of clover honey.

    We definitely need more saris.

    One I made:

    a shimmering nightscape sari

A midnight blue and silver sari lies here, unwrapped and neatly folded.

This shimmering silk sari wraps delicately around the wearer, waves of midnight blue flowing and shifting with every movement. Tiny specks of silver adorn the garment from the waist up, stars in their eternal dance with the night sky. An orb of silvery-blue rests upon the right shoulder, casting slender moonbeams among the glittering stars. The lower half begins at the waist with the same midnight blue as above, growing darker as it descends, fading to the deepest black just above the ankles.

Oh why not, here's another set I made recently. Shirt and sarong:

a pink and white silk shirt

Glittering occasionally, a shirt of pink, white, and green lies folded here.

Dusky pink and a soft white meld together seamlessly in this silk shirt, flowing at the very bottom into a deep green laced occasionally with veins of silver. Cut delicately from the fabric, tiny moonflower patterns adorn the end of the short sleeves. Silvery-white specks decorate the entirety, nearly invisible at first, but glittering azure, pink, or yellow when the light catches them just right.

    a shimmering emerald sarong

A shimmering sarong lies here in a pile of emerald silk.

This shimmering silk sarong displays, at first glance, only a field of pure emerald green. With every moment and shift of the light, however, tantalising flashes of iridescent red, gold, and silver reveal themselves only to disappear moments later. Uneven at the bottom, in some places it reaches as high as the knees, while in others it rests just above the ankles.

And away from tailoring, my custom swords. Identical except color, material, and the shape of the guard.

    a black sword

Slender at the guard, the cold, black blade of this double-edged sword widens as it gently curves, only to draw in to a point just before the tip. A diamond-shaped, obsidian guard separates the handle and blade. Black leather, wrapped repeatedly around the handle, presents a comfortable grip. An unusually large and heavy star-sapphire rests at the base, creating a pommel of midnight blue and balancing the sword.

    a silver sword

Slender at the guard, the cold, silver blade of this double-edged sword widens as it gently curves, only to draw in to a point just before the tip. A circular, pearl guard separates the handle and blade. Silver leather, wrapped repeatedly around the handle, presents a comfortable grip. An unusually large and heavy star-sapphire rests at the base, creating a pommel of midnight blue and balancing the sword.

    a goofy pink octopus hat

A vibrant pink octopus hat is here in a pile of its own glitter.

This gaudy eight-armed hat is quite the attention grabber. Plush fabric, stuffed to the seams, forms
the structure of a goofy octopus, its tentacles flared up around the wearer's head. Gold glitter on
the underside of the arms details several large suckers. Bulging black eyes are sewn onto either
side of the rounded, slightly deformed head. The octopus' mouth, embroidered in gold thread, is
turned up in a wacky, uneven smile. Between the hot pink colour, gold glitter, and ridiculous
expression, one would have to be quite bold to attempt to pull this off as a fashion accessory.

Finally got the customisation for my bastard sword approved. I really appreciate the Someone who took the time to edit and pretty it up/make it read better like I asked, as well as all the other people who I bothered and who likewise offered a lot of suggestions. Thanks <3

Appearance: Caoineadh, an ensanguined sword hilted in mauve
Dropped: Thrust into the ground, an ensanguined sword thrums with an aura of keen loss.
Examined: Inspiring artistry and crucial functionality unite into a peculiar composition: the graceful Caoineadh. Rendered in exquisite detail, the ivory hilt bears the likeness of a petite woman in solemn repose: swathes of black hair frame her features, the sullen pinpricks of her downcast eyes inlaid with tiny emeralds. Rich, heavy folds of mauve brush her delicate figure, tumbling to embrace the grip in a bas relief that exhibits harrowing scenes of the world's history. Between blade and hilt, a stylised depiction of a bronzed, setting sun reflects dully in the light, though enlivened by two pristine feathers, the tips of each white plume reaching out as they become the weapon's cross-guard. Extending far beyond the norm, the slender blade gleams with a bloodstained hue, the fuller transcribed with the verses of great tragedies that, through twilit enchantment, incite the name of the majestic sword.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.

  • Screw it, post your silly hats:

    Appearance (short_desc)
a hat resembling a runed totem

    Dropped (long_desc)
A cylindrical hat rests here, resembling a loose totem.

    Examined (extended_desc)
Worn atop the head, this curious hat resembles a Runewarden's totem. A length of dyed cloth wrapped
around wooden supports extends upward from the crown of the head, while a sturdy strip of leather
secures it under the wearer's chin with a silver clasp. The inside of the hat has been lined with
plush velvet for comfort and warmth, with the brim of the hat bearing a ring of sandy rabbit fur,
resembling the piled earth around an implanted totem. Expertly sewn into the front of the hat are
    six runes in colourful thread.

  • a winter moon dress

A white, silver, and black dress lies here, folded.

This medium-length dress flows down to just below the knees. The bodice consists of two layers, a translucent covering of silver over a snug layer of solid black silk. An opaque crescent moon dominates the front of the outer layer, starting in the top centre and curving right before returning to the centre just above the waist. The skirt contrasts and complements the top, flowing snow-white silk decorated with simple, inky-black illustrations of leafless trees.

    a long black trench coat

A black trench coat lies here.

This black trench coat of durable, heavy leather falls to just below the knees. Sewn with silver-coloured thread, the stitching along the edge of the collar and cuffs stands out against the dark fabric. Four large buttons hold the coat together, evenly spaced from the bottom of the collar to the waist and composed of obsidian and silver to form a crescent moon.

  • Did these a while ago, but can't remember if sister ended up using them, or if she stopped playing beforehand...

Appearance: Heartpierce, sword of molten fury
Dropped: Illuminating its vicinity, a fiery longsword lies discarded here.
Examined: Forged in the heart of the Underworld, this exquisite longsword bears a permanent burning feel to it. Extending close to four feet in length, flawless cobalt-hued mithril almost entirely comprises the blade of this weapon, edges bearing savage blood-stained serrations along them. Inlaid into the mithril and perhaps being the cause of its heat, a spiderweb pattern of crimson metal covers each face of the longsword, giving it a truly volcanic appearance. The hilt is shaped from polished ebony steel inlaid with blood rubies, the metal protruding outwards and curving down into fallen angel wings to cover and protect the hand in combat; the rubies adding to the fiery look even further. Counterbalancing the sword, a thick ball of diamond has been attached to the pommel, a firestorm raging permanently within.

Appearance: Duskbringer, shield of the abyss
Dropped: Evocative of volcanic earth, a hefty shield chars the ground here.
Examined: Comprised almost entirely of richly polished obsidian, this shield emanates a strange aura of heat from it. At least four and a half feet in length and ovoid in shape, the face of this hulking shield pays homage to its volcanic origins. Purposeful cracks have been carved into the solid obsidian, then inlaid with veins of richly polished ruby and fire opal, giving the colossal barrier the appearance of magma breaking through earth. On the reverse side is a thick bar of dull cobalt mithril that runs through the center, straps of sturdy caribou leather secured to both ends as a means to attach to one's forearm in combat.

My bastard sword's appearance! Made it very Xae-like :D

    brief:
    a flame-bladed bastard sword

    dropped:
Thrust firmly into the ground, a flame-like sword stands its lonely station.

    examined:
Forged by the hand of a grandmaster blacksmith, the once-gleaming white of this titanium bastard sword is now dulled and blackened, lending a sinister hue to the deadly blade. Having a characteristically undulating style of blade, the wave in the blade contributes a flame-like appearance that almost brings it to life as it renders flesh from bone with ease. Covering the knuckles of the upper hand, two obsidian dragon scales shingle one over the other to create a unique crossguard. Upon further inspection, braided black leather wraps the handle for a comfortable grip and balance of immense strength, coupled with exceptional traction. The grip flares out near the unusual ring-shaped pommel that stands on the end allowing for more versatility in combat. Embedded within the blade above the crossguard is a star-shaped gem of a blue and green topaz, allowing a faint oceanic glimmer of colour to distract one's eye.

I'll probably be shifting over to Starmourn, seeya there!
