Even those who never lived within the walls of the Jewel of the East
could appreciate the fact that Shallam is gone. Memories of being with
family and friends plotting against them are especially nostalgic to us,
especially now.

I am preparing a book for the Lucretian Athenaeum titled "Good Riddance
to Good Rubbish" and welcome you to share your stories of Shallams
asinine behaviors to be included in the submission. Just prepare your
entry on a letter so that it may be pasted into the tome in your own
words.

Your letter may contain prose or poetry. It can be a memory of another
adventurer, a Divine, a denizen, or even a place. However, as this is
meant to be a book of uplifting memories to remind ourselves of how
terrible Shallam was and how we're all better without it. Letters
bearing inappropriate content may find themselves in the belly of the
nearest humgii.

Cave beneath the trees. (The Northern Ithmia) [Num: 719]
It is raining heavily, pregnant drops of water pouring down onto you. The forest thins here, the gloomy trees
growing in sparse clumps. The warped, twisted branches claw toward the skies, and thick brambles fill the
space between the deformed trunks. An immense rock rises from the northern section of the slight clearing,
within which is an opening to a dark cavern like a gaping maw. Dense brush blocks the lower portion of the
entrance, and the foul stench of decay wafts out from within the darkness. A green-flowered ginseng plant has
been planted here. A low-lying wild ginger plant is growing here. A low-slung myrrh bush is here. A lobelia
wildflower is growing here. A purple coneflower grows here, its large stalk straining towards the sky. A red
elm tree grows here, its branches gently swaying in the breeze. A nearby branch is laden with hard-shelled
nuts. Resting upon a tripod of sheer crystal, the Triune Globe crackles with energy. A white camel is here,
ruminant.

Shahai slowly fades into view as the scene is progressively lit. She is dressed in crimson silk robes with long sleeves and glittering hair ornaments, evoking a noble lineage.

Shahai begins to dance as the drums and flute start to play. They alternate to create a solemn mood, that helps to remove the worries from the everyday world, as a chant begins the description of the surroundings. We are in the Northern Ithmia, here by the upper reaches of the Zaphar River.

Shahai moves gracefully into an upright position, and raises her right hand to point at a precipice with a snow white hand-held fan.

Shahai slowly draws her arm back close to her waist, as her whole body seems to incline softly under a graceful slight bend of her knees, and faces the public.

Shahai elegantly curves her upper body in slow motions as the chant describes that in this place there used to be a shrine.

Shahai folds her fan, still on her slightly bent knees, and places her right hand on her waist, as she raises her left arm. She slowly makes a complete turn on herself, but you cannot perceive any movement on her body.

Shahai raises her left arm before her face and looks to the ground, slowly bending more on her knees, as if she were disappearing behind the crimson sleeve.

Shahai gracefully gets back upright as the chant describes that the time grows late and the lights of the City of Hashan and the Village of Tasur'ke illuminate the night sky afar.

Shahai makes ample, slow and graceful movements as the music softens and they become more gentle and more feminine.

Shahai lifts her sleeve again to hide her face, as the chant laments how heartless the fate has been for Lady Kastalia.

Shahai bends slightly on her knees, looking at the floor once more, her right hand making soft movements with her unfolded fan.

Shahai takes measured graceful steps aside, her robes slightly floating, evoking the course of a river.

Shahai folds her fan again, and slightly reveals the silver color in the back of her sleeves. Yet you hear the chant laments how hard it is to dry the sleeves because of the abundance of tears.

Shahai slowly bends her knees until she reaches the floor, shielding herself under her sleeve, as the chant tells about a shower of rain and thunder that growls in the skies.

Shahai gracefully gets up on slightly bent knees, unfolds her fan, and slowly raises one hand after the other in smooth waves.

Shahai clasps her hands together above her head, holding her snow white fan with both hands, and slowly descends it in front of her chest, as the chant evokes the pale moon of daybreak surrounded by blood.

Shahai continues her graceful moves, slightly bent on her knees, as the music fades.

Shahai suddenly twirls across the scene, as the music starts over again in a fast movement, and, in a blink, her outfit colour changes into a repeating patterns of silver and black triangles, which represent the scales of a snake.

Shahai stops to twirl and stands upright as the music becomes smooth again, looking at her left side, as her left hand delicately rests on her waist. Her right arm is raised horizontally, her snow white hand-held fan opened?.

Shahai gracefully raises her left arm, as she slowly turns her head to the right, her right hand and the fan reaching her waist.

Shahai slowly raises her fan above her head, her head turning again to the left. As the music continues, she opens her left hand, to show the palm of her hand to the public.

Shahai bends on her knees and looks up, as if she was looking to the moon, making a pun on the lyrics, because in Tsol'aa, "moo'n" means "never run dry".

Shahai 's movements becomes subtle, yet precise in keeping with the irregular times, as the music goes into a rhythmical innovation.

Shahai returns to graceful movements, the music smooth again, and the chants tells about a nearby waterfall which sounds like the beating of a drum.

Shahai walks slowly through the scene, slightly bent on her knees, on a movement evoking the slither of a serpent. The chants tells about the winds through the trees which sounds like a flute.

Shahai continues her slow motions, playing a silver snake, as the chants tells how she delights about this evening orchestra.

Shahai stops, and slowly raises one arm after the other. The music softens again, and the chant tells that among the clouds, even the moon peeks through, to keep her company.

Shahai raises her snow white fan slowly upon her head, to represent the moon. Her graceful movements become faster as the chant tells about her scales making a clanking sound.

Shahai slows her motions again, and the chant tells that her eyes settle upon an altar at last, where her victim lies.

Shahai stops suddenly her movement. She raises her left arm above her head to mask her face, and she holds her snow white fan horizontally before her. The sounds of drums run faster, and the flute goes into a shrill play.

Shahai disappears from view and the music suddenly stops, and the scene immediately becomes dark again.
