Attitudes towards age groups

Hi everyone, I'm a retired Achaean posting on an alt I had planned to play with my retirement spoils but never found the time. :'(

So, I have to survey at least 10 different people for my psychology class. Since you guys are so awesome I was hoping some of you would be willing to respond. I am paying in gratitude and possibly a like or an awesome up vote if that is still a thing on these boards.

I would just like to know the first 3 terms or words that pop into your mind when you hear the following:

  • Children
  • Teenagers
  • Middle-Aged Adults
  • Senior Citizens

    The actual first 3 terms/words to pop into my mind are unlikely to be all that relevant (surprisingly though, I can mostly figure out why each term came up).

    If I disregard the instructions by giving it some more thought and filtering it down to relevant things (though still differing greatly from my actual opinions/thoughts on those age groups):
    Children: Little, cute, annoying
    Teenagers: Annoying, old, arrogant
    Middle-Aged Adults: Dead, tired, bored
    Senior Citizens: Old, grumpy, happy

    I think I know why Middle-Aged adults made you think of turnip.

    • Hormones, pokemon(?), period
    • Stability, uncertainty, house
    • Experienced, some word meaning "lack of mobility", warm (as in personality)

    Tried not to filter it. My actual first thought for teenagers is always youths.gif, the internet has given me a permanent mental association
