The faint but growing sound of marching boots draws your attention to the Southern Vashnar mountain range. There, ascending the highest peak, can be seen a procession of figures silhouetted against the sky: the citizenry of Cyrene.
An orchestra reaches the top first, followed by soldiers marching in formation, and flanked by riders wielding standards that bear arms from the world over.
Glinting off the musical instruments, the warm rays of the morning sun illuminate and magnify the orchestra as it prepares its serenade, and a flurry of notes fills the air.
Reflected sunbeams glance off the surfaces of silver shields, which direct the light over the entire continent in a dazzling display as a stirring anthem rises from the mountains.
The shimmering light travels to the beat of the music, addressing every city, town, and terrain in sight, while the riders direct their steeds to march around the musicians.
As the serenade peaks at calculated intervals, the polished shields shift, directing a glowing aura to illuminate each city, one by one. Mhaldor's isle is set afire by the red tinge of its fog, while Ashtan's waterways brighten the effulgence even more, and Hashan is awash in blue as light pierces the fog.
In Eleusis, the gleaming lights dance among the enshrouding leaves of the Ithmia in a dazzling display; over Targossas the reflected morning rays bathe the city in a warm glow as the sun reaches higher into the sky.
Having acknowledged every corner of the continent, the orchestra suddenly brings its lilting serenade to a resounding crescendo that echoes from the mountains, punctuated by shields slamming the ground and each other, while the riders' mounts rear onto hind legs.
Following the display, a rush of gratitude spreads over the world, followed by a tranquil quietude as the entire city uses this morning to salute the world with a humble bow.
