Many a time I will create a BM sword that isnt very fitting for me, but frankly would fit someone else much more. Unfortunately, you cannot create another BM sword so long as yours still exists out there, which means you either wait the 250 months for it to decay or you humgii it.

Additionally, if you give a sword to another, they cannot make it 'theirs', as it will remain technically 'yours'. This is true to the point that bands cannot be placed upon BM swords not 'owned' by you.

While I can understand why multiple swords made and held onto just wont work, I do have a small compromise that is also quite thematic. I am naturally suggesting this transfer only be possible from BM to BM, since I believe it may become a bit frivolous otherwise.

Add the ability to pass down or gift a BM sword to another BM, thus transferring ownership to that BM. This would fit into the theme of a master passing down a sword to a pupil, or a swordsman relinquishing titleship of his sword to another swordsman. This could be done in 2 ways. Either simply allowing other BM to place a band upon a sword unowned by them, and thus adding their mark to it, or of a more complex concept of adding an ability to Pass-down a sword from one BM to another.

Naturally a set of criteria must be met:

    - The BM to receive the sword must not already have a sword owned by them.

    - The sword itself must not have a band on it.

    Sure, why not.

I don't even know why it's a problem when the Garden confirmed that sword names are not exclusive and more than one person can have the same blade name.

True but frankly Kayeil not everyone wants to go through 250+ tries to get the exact sword name they are looking for...

Simply if you make a sword and a BM finds it perfect for them, why not have the ability to simply give it to them?

That isn't what I meant. I mean people should be allowed to give away swords because there's nothing exclusive about it anyways, so it's not really "special."

Ah, I suppose it's a flavor thing, or maybe to try and identify the 'importance' of a sword to a blademaster(?). No clue.

Presumably,  name aside, the swords themselves are crafted bespoke.  Murad takes your measurements etc.  Your sword is made for you,  so supposing you were a dwarf BM, do you think your sword would be suitably wielded by a troll BM? >> dat high class toothpick

Expand the information the LOTTERY syntax displays.

    Current:
    Syntax:
      LOTTERY LIST
      LOTTERY [INFO] <lottery #>
      LOTTERY CLAIM <ticket #>
      LOTTERY RUNNERS

    Proposed:
    Syntax:
      LOTTERY LIST
      LOTTERY [INFO] <lottery #>
      BUY [amount] TICKET IN <lottery#>
BUY [amount] TICKET IN <lottery#> FOR <person>
      LOTTERY CLAIM <ticket #>
      LOTTERY RUNNERS

    Also make:
buy 10 ticket in 8 for Tahquil
    also accept
buy 10 ticket in lottery 8 for Tahquil
As it seems a more logical to actually reference it is a lottery somewhere in the syntax.

Out of the five seafaring specialists one seems absurdly difficult to reach in comparison to all the others.

For Deckhand you have to sail through an hour and a half of chops (if skilled) to reach the Ilyrean isles for this specialisation while the other four specialist live on rather easily accessible islands such as Zaphar, Shala-Khulia, Zanzibaar and the mainland.

I'd suggest relocating Rorthgar to Minos/Colchis/Umbrin/Karbaz.

I'd really love this.  Because not only is the path to the Ilyrean Isles horrendously long.. it's also super dangerous nowadays because of seamonsters.  ((Looking at you @Czanthria ))

Yeah, my wings go to two of those places. Given a few lifts to folks to Ilyrean to get their ships up again from the docks.

Yeah, pretty annoying that one of the specs is so out of the way while all the others are just short jaunts. Putting it somewhere more accessible would make it easier to get folks to take it. Right now no one wants it in part because no one want to make that trip.

On the other hand, the trip up to Rorthgar is about -only- voyage route where you actually have to risk monsters against your will. I kinda like it for that, makes a leg of that trip at least a little exciting. Right now all the monster spawns (except that one) are far out of the way that anyone who -doesn't- want to see a monster never has to.  I hope eventually some monster spawns of varying levels are added to routes that people actually sail, just to add some spice. Unless you just roll crit miss and get a leviathan in a windcutter, you can almost always escape a monster you don't want to fight.

The monsters that spawn are phocua level so you may actually spawn a leviathan in a chop maze on the way !

Actually, if you go from the western side, it is very unlikely you find monsters at all. Or at least, I've gone about five times, and seen nothing either coming or going from Ilyrean. The voyage is just a hassle that hampers people from speccing deckhand and should be done away with.

If you screw up, you've got like 24 hours to issue yourself and fix it. Same thing if you buy it and are just unhappy with how it works.

I think that it would be nice if city tutors were capable of teaching skills to trans. While limiting that does encourage more interaction, it also can be quite discouraging for lower ranked players who can't find anyone to teach them and aren't ranked high enough to get into house halls.

Earlier, I had to suggest that a novice advertise on market just to find a tutor so she could learn some of her class skills.

City tutors can teach class skills to Virtuoso, which gets a person almost through Journeyman in their class (if they have not embraced yet. They can teach general skills to transcendent. I think the limitation was to continue to encourage people to interact with their Houses and try to be more than 'rank 1' forever.

Now, if the House requirements were so stringent that they could not get high enough to enter the House estate with a minimal amount of effort, then that is a different conversation. However, as far as I have played in the different cities, House ranks 1-3 are all usually pretty minimalistic. In the Houses with stricter requirements (like the Shield), you can enter the House Estate as any House rank to learn from the tutor and/or a fellow House member.

Edit: My mistake: City tutors teach to SKILLED, general tutors teach to Virtuoso class skills and Trascendent general skills.

    #Changed Topic oops

Honestly, I'd like to see Seamonsters give more gold/xp.  Not the lower end, as they can be (generally) solo'd.  Kiddy Pool and Tapoa zones can at least and give something like 7-9k gold per.  Those are fine, and could be tuned a bit but... Bigger areas like Leviathan and Picaroon tier?  They require a pretty good crew.  At least 3, with one generally only captaining.  14,000 gold and a decent bit of XP (2% for me at level 80) is nice, yes.  However that 14,000 generally gets split 2+ ways, there's a ton more risk (( See: Open PVP on the water )).  Simply "Dying" on the waters isn't nearly the same as if you died in say.. Underworld.  You die, then you have to salvage your ship which can cost somewhere in like 30-100k if not more.  Negating quite a few seamonster kills from this zone.

Could we get the upper zones, or at least the "Zone Four" with Leviathans and Hags, etc raised in their reward?  They're pretty dang deadly and the rewards, albeit good, are somewhat easily outshined by two manning ferocious sea dragons or one-manning the Tapoa area.

    #Edit

That's not even counting the costs that you spend on seamonsters.  You get.. 66 or 75% of what you fired back, but that's still a LOT of money down the drain, especially if they're darts.  ((You can argue dart racks nullify this some but.. 200cr is still 200cr.  1.4 million or so at current prices)).

Agreed. Not about the Grandue part because I have no idea... but Skarash is probably not even in top ten. Though he is good at generating it without using RL money, and with mostly just sitting on his butt in Ashtan, so there is that.

Could we allow hood of the sphinx to be compatible with "Raise hood"? It feels really odd that it can't be.

You are not wearing an item of clothing with a hood.

It just tickles me, because the description has this line in it: "The fabric is still of good quality and is sewn carefully so that it may be placed over the head and pulled up to hide one's face in its cowl."
